What happened
The superintendent search ended with the only internal finalist, Calvin Coolidge School principal Tiffany Ostrander, taking the job. By the July 8, 2026 meeting she was serving as superintendent and recommending a new assistant superintendent.
Why it matters to families
Ostrander beat out two sitting superintendents from other towns and Shrewsbury High School's own principal for the job. Promoting from inside the district is a different kind of transition than hiring an outsider, and it also means Coolidge now needs a new principal.
