District drafts 'AI guide rails' handbook as it rolls out AI tools to teachers and students
What happened
In January the technology director told the board that 110-plus teachers piloted MagicSchool, a K-12 AI platform, and that student-facing tools would roll out this spring. On Aug. 25 the assistant superintendent for instruction said a draft AI 'guide rails' handbook is being reviewed and will be finalized over the year, with AI training on teacher conference days.
