Tewksbury Public Schools — Admin hiring

The district's leadership transition began in December 2025, when Superintendent Brenda Theriault-Regan publicly announced her plan to retire at the end of the current school year in June 2026. That announcement set off a succession process focused on the district's top administrative roles.

In March 2026, the Committee named Assistant Superintendent Nancy Milligan as the next superintendent, voting 5-0 after a public interview and deliberation, subject to contract negotiation. Two months later, in May, the Committee unanimously approved Milligan's new superintendent contract, effective July 1, 2026.

While the superintendent transition was underway, the district also filled other leadership vacancies. In April, the Committee approved a consent agenda naming Stephen Sierpina as the next principal of Wynn Middle School. Then, in late May, the Committee unanimously approved Superintendent Regan's recommendation to appoint Jason Stamp as assistant superintendent, completing the senior leadership picture for the coming year.
