Trenton approves revised high-school catalog with changes to science graduation requirements

What happened
The board approved the 2026–27 high-school course catalog, amending its August agenda item to update dual-credit course names and revise science graduation requirements. The catalog lists 15 required science credits, with evidence-based courses covering physical, life, and Earth and space sciences, as well as engineering and technology.
Why it matters to families
Graduation requirements shape the courses students must complete to earn a diploma, and catalog changes affect planning across Trenton’s high schools. The minutes do not specify exactly how the science requirement was changed, but the approved catalog states the district’s 15-credit science requirement and its required disciplinary coverage.
