District plans spending about $202,000 above projected revenue

Trinidad Union School District · Jun 26, 2026

Financial

What happened

The 2026-27 LCAP projects $2,888,334 in revenue and $3,090,169 in planned spending, a difference of $201,835. The plan does not say how much fund balance is available and does not by itself establish financial distress.

Why it matters to families

The difference is about 7% of projected revenue, large enough to matter in a one-school district. Families should watch the adopted budget and later interim reports for whether reserves cover the planned spending and whether services change.

The evidence

The LCAP budget overview lists total projected revenue of $2,888,334 and planned spending of $3,090,169. It says $815,444 of spending outside named LCAP actions covers administration, utilities, and facility funds.
