New cell phone, dress code and drug policies adopted

Day-to-day

What happened

On June 24, 2026 the board approved updated student policies on cell phones and personal technology devices (JICJ), dress code (JICA), extracurricular eligibility (JJJ) and drug and alcohol use (JICH), replacing versions from about 2012 with CASB model language.

Why it matters to families

These rules shape students' school day. Students had asked for looser dress code and headphone rules, but the new texts are not yet posted online. The website still shows the 2012 phone policy.

The evidence

The June 24, 2026 minutes list the policies on the approved consent agenda; the May 11 recording covers the comparison with the old policies.
