District news
Voters will decide whether to keep the district's $4 million-a-year tax override past 2030
What happened
On Aug. 19 the board approved a resolution putting a question on the Nov. 3, 2026 ballot to continue the district's existing mill levy override beyond its current 2030 expiration. Board discussion said the override provides about $4 million a year, and that losing it would mean preparing for a $4 million budget cut.
Why it matters to families
The override pays for a large share of operating costs, so voters' answer decides whether the district keeps that money after 2030.
The evidence
The Aug. 19 agenda lists the resolution and the meeting recording (auto-captions) shows the motion carrying. The election result was not in the collected records.
