Weldon Valley gets a new principal for 2026-27
What happened
Principal Jeff Verosky's resignation at the end of his 2025-26 contract was on the April 21 agenda. On May 19 the board was asked to hire Rod Link, the district's special education paraprofessional, as principal starting July 1, 2026. Link was interviewed in an April 21 work session and is listed as principal on the August agenda.
Why it matters to families
The principal runs daily school life for about 200 students in a two-school district. Link also resigned his special education role, so that job was filled by a new hire.
The evidence
The Apr. 21 work session agenda lists an interview of Link as a principal candidate. The Apr. 21 regular agenda lists the resignation and the May 19 agenda lists the hire; the Aug. 18 and Sept. 22 agendas list Principal Rod Link. Minutes were not collected, so the votes are not confirmed.
