Board to act on bus contract and new transportation bids
What happened
A special board meeting is scheduled for November 2, 2026. The agenda lists a closed session on the school unit's legal rights and duties, then votes on a transportation contract and on approving a request for proposals (RFP) for transportation.
Why it matters to families
Busing gets students to school every day, so a change in the bus contract could affect families. In October the superintendent also said bus fuel costs were over plan, with only about $1,000 left of a $3,000 extra fuel allowance. No decision has been posted yet.
