What happened

On May 19 a motion to tear down ACMS died for lack of a second. The board then voted 5-0 to have the superintendent recommend an outside group to do an independent review of the building.

Why it matters to families

A school building's future affects where students go to school and how bond money is spent. The review is the next step before any decision.

The evidence

The May 19, 2026 minutes record the motion by Director Amador (no second, motion fails) and the unanimous motion by President Lovato to direct the superintendent to bring forward an independent-review recommendation.
