New maths materials to be piloted in grades 7 and 8 this autumn

What happened

A district Mathematics Task Force convened in autumn 2025 to choose the next core maths materials for junior high and high schools. The June 11, 2026 agenda asks the board to approve a pilot of Amplify Desmos Math CA for Grade 7 and Grade 8 maths during the autumn 2026 semester, at no cost, running from July 1 to December 31, 2026. A separate item asks for a licence agreement with Agile Mind.
