What happened

The superintendent recommends moving Boston Green Academy to the South Boston High School building, and Boston International Newcomers Academy and Boston Adult Technical Academy to the Cleveland building. The latter two moves are planned for the 2027–28 school year; the recommendations are scheduled for a School Committee vote in December.

Why it matters to families

The moves would change where students attend school and would require transition planning for families and staff. BPS says it will continue community engagement before the committee considers the recommendations.

The evidence

The November 4 memo lists the Boston Green Academy move to the South Boston High School building and the Boston International Newcomers Academy and Boston Adult Technical Academy moves to the Cleveland building in SY27–28. It says Cycle 4 recommendations will be brought to the School Committee for a vote in December 2026.
