District news
Enrollment drops to 91 students

What happened
On August 17, 2026, the superintendent reported 91 students in PreK-12, with fewer students in grades K-5 than last year. The district's own projection for 2026-27 lists 90 students in K-12, with open seats for out-of-district students in only three grades.
Why it matters to families
Kansas pays schools mostly by student count, so fewer students means less money. In June the board voted to advertise bus routes into other districts to attract more students.
The evidence
The August 17, 2026 minutes give the 91-student count. The posted 2026-27 enrollment projection shows 90 K-12 students. The June 15, 2026 minutes record the vote to advertise bus routes to other districts.
