What happened

In January 2026 the superintendent announced a $6 million state modernization grant, paid in the 2027-29 budget period. It will be used to remove elementary buildings A, B and C, remodel building D, and build a modular building with six classrooms, a teacher work room and restrooms.

Why it matters to families

This is the next big building project for Bridgeport Elementary students, after the current remodel. Old buildings will come down and classrooms will move. The district also got a $92,000 safety grant to upgrade elementary cameras and fill camera blind spots.
