Classroom assistance expands districtwide as special-education staff seek more support

What happened
By October 6, district leaders reported that the Request for Assistance process was available at all sites, expanding the spring pilot for faster classroom support.
Why it matters to families
A faster support route offers practical help, but response time and classroom implementation still require monitoring.
The evidence
The March 17 study described a five-site pilot. In October, leaders said staff could request help through myCNUSD, with rapid initial contact and visits depending on complexity and capacity. Teachers still described training, preparation-time, workload and safety concerns. The process does not itself decide IEP eligibility or prove every need is met.
