School explores a health clinic on campus
What happened
On May 13, 2026, the board passed a resolution to explore a 638 Indian Health Service nursing partnership and a school-based health clinic. The idea was sent to the Tribal Education Committee. In July the board made the superintendent the lead for this work.
Why it matters to families
A clinic at school could make it easier for students to see a nurse or get care without leaving Wanblee. This is still a proposal.
