District news
District reports crisis workload and free therapy access

What happened
Staff reported 229 suicide-concern interventions in 2025–26 and described school crisis teams, family support and free private Daybreak virtual therapy at home or on campus.
Why it matters to families
The report documents significant support needs and routes to help. Concern protocols do not necessarily mean suicidal intent or an attempt, and the presentation was not a vote to hire additional clinicians.
The evidence
The October 20 safety presentation reports 229 concern interventions, including 129 elementary interventions, and 87 hospital-reentry safety plans for 2025–26. Counts of 51 protocols and 16 reentry students through October 9 are partial-year measures, not comparable annual increases. Families are directed to school counselors/site administrators and SaySomething reporting.
