$843,000 stormwater project will let the district fix flood problems on campus
What happened
On May 11, 2026 the board heard that the contractor's estimate for the stormwater mitigation project was $843,000 in hard costs, under budget, with an 8% contingency that also pays for elementary playground equipment affected by the work. By September the storm drains and structures were complete, with about six weeks of work left.
Why it matters to families
Flooding on campus puts the new buildings and fields at risk, and this project is the first phase of the campus master plan.
