What happened

On June 9, 2026 the board considered resolutions declaring the Eastridge, Pinery and Timbers school sites surplus property.

Why it matters to families

The county rezoned the sites to open space. Staff say they are not needed for schools, and selling them could bring in capital money for the district.

The evidence

The staff memo says the Long Range Planning Committee voted unanimously on Jan. 7, 2026 to recommend surplus status, and describes plans with the county for open space and payment to the district.
