District news
Duxbury approves oral-pouch ban across student handbooks

What happened
The School Committee unanimously approved adding oral pouches to the district Code of Conduct in all four student handbooks. The rule covers pouches used to ingest nicotine, tobacco, caffeine, or any other ingredient.
Why it matters to families
This turns the previously reported proposal into an approved conduct rule applying across the district, rather than only to the high-school handbook.
The evidence
At the October 21 meeting, committee members clarified that the amendment applies to all four handbooks and covers oral pouches used to ingest nicotine, tobacco, caffeine, or any other ingredient. They then approved the Code of Conduct amendment unanimously (document 116478, 00:52:32–00:55:44).
