Board settles some construction lawsuits and rejects a mediator's offer
What happened
Eagle Pass ISD is suing builders over past construction projects. On March 17, 2026 the board approved settlement offers in EPISD v. Alamo (Cerna, RVE and RVLA) and EPISD v. Leyendecker (SAG) with two subcontractors. On August 19, 2026 it voted 7-0 to deny a mediator's settlement proposal in EPISD v. Leyendecker (SAG), so that case continues.
