Bus app is live but GPS tracking will not work at start of school
What happened
The district's bus app works for messages, but live GPS tracking of buses will not be active when school opens in September 2026. Administrators said they still must connect many contractors' systems to the app. Families were told last year tracking would be ready.
Why it matters to families
Parents use tracking to know when to be at the stop and whether a child is safe.
The evidence
Asked directly, an official said 'the app is working' but 'as far as the GPS tracking, we're still working on it. We can't deliver that', and a trustee confirmed tracking 'is not going to be active this year'.
