The rules govern when students may use personal communication devices during school.

The evidence

For 4K–8, devices are off and stored during the school day with stated staff exceptions; smartwatches may be worn without communication or distraction, subject to testing rules. High-school students may use devices for schoolwork and should refrain from personal use during instructional time. Bus use is at staff discretion.
