What happened

On September 8, 2026 the board gave a first reading to a replacement policy and rules on physical intervention and restraint (JKA), and to revised forms for restraint incident reports and complaints. It also repealed its student immunization policy and regulation (JLCB) and the sick leave bank policy. All votes were 5-0. A replacement policy needs a final reading.

Why it matters to families

The restraint policy sets what staff may do to control a student and what parents are told. Repealing the immunization policy removes a local rule.

The evidence

The minutes record each motion and the 5-0 votes. The text of the new policy is not in the collected minutes.
