District weighs $71,860 ag shop wall to bring back food science
What happened
The superintendent estimated $71,860 to build a wall in the ag shop so the school can again offer a food science class that meets state requirements, and hopes to use postsecondary workforce readiness (PWR) money. Structures Unlimited reviewed the project in September and engineering plans are next. No contract has been approved.
Why it matters to families
The project would restore a career course and would use state PWR money the district says it wants to protect.
