What happened

On November 3, 2026, voters will decide a bond of up to $123.5 million. It would pay for classroom additions at several elementary schools, new cafeterias at Wacousta and Hayes, a four-classroom addition at Beagle, a new competition gym and science lab and media center work at the high school, plus HVAC, technology, furniture and security upgrades.

Why it matters to families

The district says the debt tax rate would stay at 5.63 mills, the current rate, so taxes for debt would not go up. If it fails, the district says it would likely have to use general fund money that now pays for classrooms and programs.
