What happened

On April 15, 2026, the board approved a $140,510 bid from Marion Glass to replace windows at the elementary and high school buildings, using state maintenance grant money. In August, staff said the district is asking the City of Grayville for TIF money to cover about $90,000 of the district's share.

Why it matters to families

New windows change the buildings where students learn every day. The work was planned for weekends so classes are not interrupted.

The evidence

The April 15, 2026 minutes record the approved bid and amount. Later minutes (June 24, July 15 and August 19, 2026) give the schedule and the TIF request.
