LaRue County’s tax, facilities and student-support decisions
Board action records show current financing, technology, student-support and governance decisions; the newest October 19 record is an agenda and does not establish outcomes.
The 2026-27 tax rate was adopted
On September 16 the Board adopted 54.0 cents per $100 of real and personal property, projected to produce $6,052,060. The action record says an additional 3.8-cent recall portion remains contingent on 2025 litigation, so the adopted 54-cent rate does not describe every possible eventual levy component.
Grant and technology decisions have matching requirements
On October 20, 2025, the Board authorized Read to Achieve applications for $70,000 per school per year with a one-to-one match and accepted $25,479 in KETS funds with an equal General Fund match. The October 19, 2026 agenda proposes a separate $28,243 KETS award with an equal match; that later item had no outcome when reviewed.
Facilities remain a visible district priority
The renovated Hawks Stadium hosted a band competition with approximately 700 students and 1,000 spectators, according to the September 21 Board record.
The reviewed pages show motions and votes for completed meetings but supplied no recordings or transcripts. The October 19, 2026 page was a future agenda without outcomes, and the 3.8-cent recall portion cited in the September 16 action record remains contingent on 2025 litigation.
