Board to consider nonbinding ground-lease letters for three elementary properties

What happened
The October 13 agenda asks trustees to consider approving a nonbinding letter of intent for one or more ground leases involving BB Owen, Creekside and Polser elementary schools. It does not specify lease terms or show that any lease was approved.
Why it matters to families
A ground-lease agreement could affect how these school properties are used; the proposed letter is a new step beyond the earlier agenda proposal to negotiate lease or sale agreements.
The evidence
Agenda item E.3 says the Board will consider approval of a “Non-Binding Letter of Intent to Enter Into One or More Ground Leases” for BB Owen Elementary School, Creekside Elementary School and Polser Elementary School. This is a proposed action; the agenda does not establish the Board's decision.
