What happened

On September 3, the Board set 47.0 cents plus a 0.1-cent exoneration per $100 for real and tangible property and 45.2 cents for motor vehicles and watercraft.

Why it matters to families

The record compares the prior real-property rate of 45.5 cents and personal-property rate of 45.9 cents with a projected $5,470,536.73. Its stated $201,638.59 increment equals the proposed projection less the $5,268,898.14 compensating-rate projection, although the notice labels it revenue above 2026; it does not equal the difference from stated prior receipts. Assessed-value and collection assumptions are not reconciled.

The evidence

The official special-meeting action states the approved rates, prior revenue of $4,788,934.52, projected revenue, and planned allocation of a stated $201,638.59 increment.
