What happened

Student-assistance staff said a county-funded contracted gang-prevention referral service had ended and the gang-response intervention team was paused. The report does not say that all LCPS safety or prevention work ended.

Why it matters to families

Students needing this specialized support may have fewer referral options. No Rock Ridge incident was identified.

The evidence

The September 1 Performance Monitoring report names the lost contracted service and paused team. It is a staff report of the gap at that time, rather than a complete inventory of current safety services.
