Board moves general fund money to cover bond payments

What happened
On Nov 10, 2025 the board moved money from the General Fund to the Bond Redemption Fund. Bent County had not collected enough property tax to make the bond payments on time.
Why it matters to families
The district paid its bond bills with day-to-day school money for a while. That money is meant for classrooms, staff and buses.
The evidence
The minutes quote the resolution: the transfer was needed because Bent County was not collecting enough property taxes for the Bond Redemption Fund. The Feb 9, 2026 minutes say the taxes were later received and the money was moved back.
