Santa Rosa leaders announce end to homeschool and hybrid tracks

What happened

Santa Rosa Academy leaders reported their board’s decision to end its Red homeschool and White hybrid tracks after 2025–26, while retaining a smaller grades 7–12 independent-study program.

Why it matters to families

Affected families were directed toward five-day instruction or other providers. Returning-student priority did not establish an unconditional place for every family.

The evidence

The annual charter update linked the change to anticipated independent-study funding reductions and new classroom space. July’s update confirmed Monterey Hall completion; these records do not independently confirm every family’s placement. This was a charter-board decision reported to Menifee, not a district closure order.
