District news
Board funds up to 96 additional preschool places
What happened
The board approved two preschool teacher positions and four instructional aides for two classrooms with morning and afternoon sessions at Freedom Crest.
Why it matters to families
The expansion would bring state preschool to another part of the district and offer space for up to 96 children. Staffing approval is not proof all places were filled.
The evidence
The July 28 action funds positions through the California State Preschool Program, following March’s expansion proposal. Officials identified Freedom Crest as the new location.
