New Pre-K classroom building coming to the elementary school
What happened
On July 10, 2026, the board approved a Pre-K modular classroom building at Sacopee Valley Elementary School. It will be paid for through a $500,000 lease at 5.02% over seven years, and the minutes say the Maine Department of Education will fund it up to $500,000.
Why it matters to families
It adds room for the youngest learners and early childhood special education. In September the district said the building was due in early October.
