2026-27 budget spends about $300,000 more than it brings in for classrooms
What happened
The district's 2026-27 budget plans $2,944,064 in Educational Fund spending against $2,644,139 in Educational Fund revenue. The budget form itself says the budget is unbalanced but that a state deficit-reduction plan is not required yet.

The Educational Fund pays for teachers and classroom costs. If the plan holds, that fund's savings drop from $955,550 to $655,625 in one year. Across all funds the district plans $3,894,870 in spending.
