District plans AI rules, vetted tools and AI lessons in its new three-year plan

Day-to-day

What happened

The Together for Every Learner Plan (2026-2029) says the district will set up AI governance and update guidelines on student privacy, acceptable use and academic integrity, approve only vetted AI tools for students, train all staff, and build a K-12 AI literacy sequence led by library media specialists.

Why it matters to families

Families do not yet have a stand-alone AI policy to read; this plan says one is coming. It affects how students may use AI for schoolwork and what data is shared.

The evidence

The plan lists AI priorities 3.1 to 3.4 with goals. It says earlier AI vision, principles and guardrails were introduced, but no separate AI policy was collected.
