North Kingstown High School tennis teams are playing offsite as court deficiencies await a fix

What happened

The September 22 agenda scheduled a discussion of deficiencies in North Kingstown High School’s tennis courts and a plan to address them. It says the teams have had to play offsite, with related costs, and that the project was on the town’s capital request.

Why it matters to families

The court condition is already disrupting the high school's tennis program and creating offsite playing costs; the agenda does not establish that a replacement or repair plan was approved.

The evidence

Document 95281, agenda item VIII.D: “Condition of North Kingstown High School Tennis Courts”; describes “the impact to the North Kingstown tennis teams,” costs from having to play offsite, the condition of offsite locations, and a plan to address deficiencies; says it was on the capital request to the town. This is an agenda, so it supports a scheduled discussion, not an approved project.
