North Middlesex Regional School District — Day-to-day

Over the course of the 2025-26 school year, the North Middlesex Regional School Committee steadily updated day-to-day policies for the coming year. The earliest development came in January 2026, when the committee moved the 2025-26 kindergarten screening to June 3-5 and approved the 2026-27 district calendar with clerical corrections. In June, the committee unanimously approved district artificial-intelligence guidelines adapted from Boston Public Schools and reviewed by legal counsel.

The pace picked up over the summer. In July, the committee adopted policies governing staff and student cell phones and portable devices, aligning districtwide rules with the high school's restrictions on student phone use during the school day. Later that month, it adopted a legal-counsel revision of the student time-out, seclusion, and restraint policy, bringing the updates into place before the new school year.
