What happened

The September 14 agenda recommends two additional Measure E & I service requests for Wagner Ranch: $7,700 for structural engineering related to dry rot found at a walkway canopy and Building 4 roof, and $8,375.60 to address a path of travel that does not meet current accessibility requirements.

Why it matters to families

The agenda documents previously unidentified building deterioration and an accessibility-compliance deficiency during construction. The requested engineering work is a proposed remediation, not a completed construction fix.

The evidence

September 14, 2026 board packet (document 85820), Wagner Ranch Modernization items, says dry rot was discovered during summer construction and that an affected path of travel does not meet current accessibility requirements; staff recommended the two additional service requests totaling $16,075.60.
