Board approves 4% salary agreements while classified staffing requests remain

What happened
Trustees approved the teachers’ agreement, classified compensation agreement and separate 4% increases with applicable stipends for management, confidential and unrepresented employees. The latter increases were retroactive to July 1 for employees still employed October 14. The management motion explicitly excluded the superintendent and assistant superintendents.
Why it matters to families
The agreements affect recurring compensation and employee retention during a period of projected unrestricted deficits. The recording does not establish the total ongoing cost. Classified representatives continued to seek attendance-office staffing and resolution of other bargaining provisions.
The evidence
All four compensation items passed 4–0 with one trustee absent. The teachers’ president described an updated ROTC pay structure; the classified president described frustration over outstanding noncompensation proposals and two years of attendance-office support requests. Those workload accounts are attributed testimony, not an adjudicated staffing violation.
