Board adopts artificial intelligence policies
What happened
On April 6, 2026 the board unanimously adopted AI policies 5500 and 7540.09 on second reading. The policy committee had said in February that district policies were three to four years behind and needed catching up with the policy service NEOLA.

The policies set rules for student and staff use of AI tools. Families can ask the district for the text.
