District news
Rich High students gain a new robotics and automation college pathway

What happened
A new partnership with Utah State University and Bridgerland Technical College gives students access to training and certifications in robotics, automation and control systems at the district campus. Students can complete nearly half of a bachelor’s degree before transferring to a campus to finish it.
Why it matters to families
The pathway expands local career and college options in a technical field and may reduce the time and tuition students need to complete a bachelor’s degree.
The evidence
At the September 15, 2026 board meeting, the district’s CTE/BTECH instructor described the new Utah State and Bridgerland partnership and said students can earn certifications and nearly half of a bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Automation, & Control Systems at the Rich School District campus before finishing at a college campus. The minutes identify the presenter as the Rich High School principal/CTE director and a CTE/BTECH teacher.
