Special education students suspended too often
What happened
The state flagged the district because Hispanic special education students were removed from school for more than 10 days at a much higher rate. Staff presented a plan with a consultant through May 2027 and training for counselors and administrators.

Students who miss many days for discipline fall behind. The state requires the district to fix this.
