School overview
River View Chartered Public School
A small Claremont charter school for at-risk students, facing a state charter review in October 2026
Who oversees River View?
River View Chartered Public School is a public charter school at 169 Main Street in Claremont that serves at-risk students. It is open to Sullivan County residents. A volunteer Board of Trustees governs it, and the New Hampshire State Board of Education grants and reviews its charter. It was started by the Claremont Learning Partnership (CLP) and is now separating from it. SAU 6 is responsible for its students' special education.
State review
After a December 2025 review of its finances and board, the state let it keep operating and cancelled a June check-in.
Charter rewrite
The charter must be rewritten before the October 2026 review because the school no longer operates under CLP.
Enrollment
33 to 36 students between November 2025 and February 2026.
Money
The school owed CLP about $51,723 on a loan as of December 2025 and spent $49,585 on accounting cleanup.
The state raised no concerns about River View's finances in December 2025, and the treasurer says monthly bookkeeping is now clean.
