Board ratifies new labor agreements and raises executive pay
What happened
On June 11, the Board publicly disclosed, certified, and ratified new agreements with AFSCME, CSEA, and SJTA, updated the management salary schedule, and updated employment agreements for the superintendent and three other executives, all effective July 1, 2026.
Why it matters to families
These agreements set new compensation across the district's major employee groups and its top executives, a recurring driver of general-fund spending; the vote drew public comment on both sides before passing 4-1.
