Board agenda proposes CSU direct-admission opportunities for district high-school seniors
What happened
The board agenda proposes a partnership that would let CSU use district student data to notify eligible high-school seniors about direct-admission opportunities and connect students not on track for CSU’s A–G requirements with its Transfer Success Pathway. Students would still need to complete required application and enrollment steps to attend.
Why it matters to families
The proposal could give students an earlier route to learn about CSU admission and financial-aid options, while allowing the university and district to exchange identifiable student and applicant data for admissions support and program evaluation.
The evidence
The October 6 agenda recommends approval of a CSU Direct Admissions partnership and says the program uses academic data to identify eligible students and provide early admission opportunities. The attached agreement divides students into CSU-eligible, close-to-A–G, and not-on-track categories, and provides for personally identifiable student-data exchange; it is an agenda proposal, not evidence of board approval.
