Keane Elementary students spend 2026-27 at Fulton School while the building is rebuilt

Facilities

What happened

Keane Elementary students are at the Fulton School this year for a 'swing year.' Keane's construction is a two-year job, and the first year makes the building ready for students to come back. Lincoln students are planned to move to Fulton next, so Lincoln can be worked on.

Why it matters to families

Families at Keane (and later Lincoln) deal with a different building, bus routes and routines. The timeline also tells every family how long the work will last.

The evidence

At the September 16 work session the district's construction team said Keane students are at Fulton for one year while Keane construction takes two years, and that the next priority is Lincoln. A new bid for the next Keane phase was out and a commissary kitchen at Mont Pleasant was projected to finish around April or May 2027.
