Board advances dismissal proceedings against a tenured employee
What happened
The Board found probable cause for three disciplinary charges against an unnamed tenured employee and initiated a proceeding under New York Education Law §3020-a. It said dismissal would be imposed if the employee does not request a hearing, or sought if the employee is found guilty after a hearing.
Why it matters to families
This is a formal step toward possible termination, but the minutes do not identify the employee or describe the allegations, and they do not record a final dismissal decision.
The evidence
The June 18, 2026 minutes state that the Board found probable cause on Charges I, II, and III, and determined that dismissal would be imposed if the employee did not request a hearing or sought if found guilty after a hearing; the vote on each charge was unanimous.
