Who runs South Sutter Charter School
South Sutter Charter School is a non-classroom-based (home school and independent study) charter for TK-12, with about 2,900 students in 2025-26. It is chartered by the Marcum-Illinois Union School District, which charges an oversight fee, and is operated by Innovative Education Management, Inc. (IEM), a nonprofit that runs several charters. A five-member school governing board approves the budget, LCAP and school policies in short meetings, often with three members present. IEM's corporate board is a separate body not covered here.
